Erie First Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Iroquois Braves by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but Erie First Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row dating back to last season.
Erie First Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.
Despite the defeat, Iroquois saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Paisley Cook had 14 digs and one assist.
Erie First Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Mercyhurst Prep on the 28th. As for Iroquois, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Seneca on the 27th.
