Volleyball Recap: Hawkins Hawks vs. King/Drew Golden Eagles
Hawkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the King/Drew Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.
The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-20.
Hawkins' record now sits at 0-13. As for King/Drew, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.
Hawkins will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jordan at 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd. After both having extra time off, King/Drew and New West Charter will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:00 p.m. on the 21st. The Golden Eagles are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
