Baseball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Academy Takes a Loss

Thomas Jefferson Academy lost against Trinity Christian back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars lost 11-1 to the Crusaders.

Thomas Jefferson Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Gillooly, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Gillooly is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Thomas Jefferson Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Trinity Christian, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson Academy will take on John Milledge Academy at 4:30 p.m. on the 11th. As for Trinity Christian, they will challenge Brentwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders are facing the War Eagles at the right time seeing as the War Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
