Softball Recap: Caldera vs. Redmond Panthers
Caldera won the last time they faced Redmond and things went their way on Tuesday too. Caldera blew past Redmond 15-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Caldera.
Nina Santos Wagner spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Caldera got a massive performance out of Morgan Voll, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those two triples gave Voll a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Analeigh Miller, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs.
Caldera's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Redmond, they dropped their record down to 3-7-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldera will host Summit at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Storm have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something Caldera will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Redmond, they will be playing at home against Ridgeview at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
