The Miami Beach Hi-Tides will take on the Goleman Gators at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Miami Beach took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Miami Springs. The result was nothing new for the Hi-Tides, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Maricela Mesarina made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Miami Beach got a massive performance out of Angelina Murillo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. What's more, Murillo posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Rebecca Baldi was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Miami Beach hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Goleman got the win against Flanagan on Friday by a conclusive 18-3. With that win, the Gators brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Olivia Mata was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Aracely Escoto, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Miami Beach's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Goleman, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
Goleman's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Miami Beach hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .401. It's a different story for Goleman, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Miami Beach's hitters?
