Basketball Recap: Williams Takes a Loss

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Williams was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 74-11 loss at the hands of the Joseph City Wildcats. The contest marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Audrey Neill was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 15 en route to 18 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals for Joseph City. The dominant performance also gave Neill a new career-high in assists (five). Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Jesmer, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points and eight steals.

The defeat snapped Williams' winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-5 record. As for Joseph City, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
