Baseball Game Preview: Fargo South Bruins vs. Jefferson Cavaliers

The Fargo South Bruins will head out to square off against the Jefferson Cavaliers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Fargo South after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Brandon Valley by a score of 9-8. The Bruins have struggled against the Lynx recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Matt Byrant made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Barnacle, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Jefferson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 6-3 to Olathe South two weeks ago.
