Soccer Recap: Rochelle Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Rochelle after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Sycamore Spartans by a score of 2-1. Rochelle have struggled against Sycamore recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Rochelle's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Sycamore, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rochelle will challenge Oregon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sycamore, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Belvidere North at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sycamore's defense better be ready for this one: Belvidere North have averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season.
