Softball Recap: J.I. Burton Comes Up Short

J.I. Burton lost against Twin Springs back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Black Raiders fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2.

J.I. Burton has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Twin Springs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. J.I. Burton is set to face off against their familiar foe Castlewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Twin Springs will square off against rival Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 1.5, the Spartans 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
