Softball Recap: Carrizo Springs Comes Up Short

Carrizo Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Pearsall Mavericks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, with their most recent loss being a 16-0 defeat back in March.

Carrizo Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Pearsall, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carrizo Springs will challenge rival Floresville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pearsall is set to take on their familiar foe Pleasanton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Mavericks' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Eagles have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
