Volleyball Recap: Richmond Comes Up Short

Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the New Castle Trojans, falling 3-0. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-3, 25-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Castle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily Luce, who had seven digs and two aces.

Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for New Castle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Richmond will take on Triton Central in a tournament on Saturday. As for New Castle, they will challenge Connersville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
