After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Torrance, South was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Banning Pilots 16-15. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-8 two weeks ago.

South got a massive performance out of Isabella Cacatian, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Cacatian has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Meera Malik, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run.

South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They are 8-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory got South back to even at 13-13. As for Banning, they moved to 10-15 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Banning, they have already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Rancho Dominguez on the 8th.
