Softball Recap: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. Lincoln Trojans
Taylor County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-7 back in March.
Taylor County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Crowley, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another was Jayden Freed, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Taylor County's record now sits at 1-15. As for Lincoln, their record is now 6-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor County will head out to take on Rickards at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln, they will venture away from home to square off against Wakulla at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the War Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
