Football Game Preview: Central Indians vs. Park Hill Trojans

Central is 0-3 against Park Hill since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Central will be strutting in after a win while Park Hill will be coming in after a defeat.

Central took a 39-point loss the last time they faced off against Oak Park, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians skirted past the Northmen 32-29.

Central's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Drake Gilkison and Cole Hass. Gilkison gained 125 total yards and two touchdowns while Hass picked up 48 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Gilkison was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 53 yards.

Meanwhile, Park Hill faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Trojans fell just short of the Blue Jays by a score of 31-28. While the Trojans had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Blue Jays 14-7.

Central's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2. As for Park Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
