Softball Recap: Kerman Gets the Win

It was close, but on Monday the Kerman Lions sidestepped the Central East Bengals for a 7-5 victory.

Roxy Alvarez and Jaymee Hick did most of the damage at the plate: Alvarez went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Hick went 1-for-3 with one home run. Jadyn Grewal was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

The win got Kerman back to even at 2-2. As for Central East, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Kerman will challenge Hanford at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Central East, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Hanford West on the 3rd.
