Softball Recap: LaFayette Bulldogs vs. Loachapoka Indians

LaFayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Loachapoka Indians, falling 13-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 29-27 last Tuesday.

Hope McClure made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kiyanna Williams, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

LaFayette's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Loachapoka, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

LaFayette will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bullock County at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. Loachapoka will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Reeltown at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st.
