Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Springs Ledgers vs. North Fond du Lac Orioles

The St. Mary's Springs Ledgers will head out to challenge the North Fond du Lac Orioles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's Springs will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, St. Mary's Springs strolled past Campbellsport with points to spare, taking the game 52-33. Given the Ledgers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Cougars are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, North Fond du Lac's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Omro. While the Orioles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Foxes 17-12 in the first quarter.

St. Mary's Springs pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for North Fond du Lac, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Everything went St. Mary's Springs' way against North Fond du Lac in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as St. Mary's Springs made off with a 56-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Mary's Springs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
