Basketball Recap: Ocean City Drops Season-High Score on Wildwood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ocean City). They claimed a resounding 73-40 victory over the Wildwood Warriors. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Warriors are ranked 361st), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Wildwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Trevor Troiano posted eight points. Gianni Troiano was another key player, putting up seven points.

Ocean City's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Wildwood, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13.

Ocean City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wildwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-58 victory against Schalick on the 10th.
