Volleyball Recap: Rockville Victorious

Rockville posted their closest win since April 30th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Simsbury Trojans 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Rockville wouldn't go down easily and took Simsbury into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Wesley Foo was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 17 digs and three aces. Those 17 digs gave him a new career-high.

Foo wasn't the only good server: Rockville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. The Rams are a perfect 9-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Rockville's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Simsbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

The future could be bright for both Rockville and Simsbury: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Rams will try to hand Norwich RVT their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Simsbury will look to extend Enfield's four-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
