It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Marissa/Coulterville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Trico Pioneers 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Meteors in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won three in a row.

Marissa/Coulterville got a big performance out of Carter Daugherty, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits Daugherty has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jack Stewart, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Marissa/Coulterville's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Trico, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Marissa/Coulterville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trico, they will face off against Wayne City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
