North Platte hadn't done well against Lawson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The North Platte Panthers enjoyed a cozy 51-37 victory over the Lawson Cardinals. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Despite the defeat, Lawson had strong showings from Andrew Phipps, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 10 points along with six boards and three steals, and Isaac Willoughby, who went 7 of 15 en route to 18 points.

North Platte's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Lawson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.

Coming up, North Platte will welcome Lathrop at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lawson, they will head out to square off against Penney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
