Basketball Game Preview: Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs vs. Fannett Metal

The Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge Fannett Metal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Claysburg-Kimmel will head into Wednesday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Williamsburg and fell 78-48. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Blue Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Fannett Metal was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 62-57 to Northern Bedford County.

Claysburg-Kimmel's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fannett Metal, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Claysburg-Kimmel didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Fannett Metal when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 48-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Claysburg-Kimmel since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
