Orangeburg Prep is 6-1 against Branchville since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Indians will host the Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. Orangeburg Prep will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, Orangeburg Prep got the win against Patrick Henry Academy by a conclusive 11-4. Considering the Indians have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Bryson Williams made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tilden Riley, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Morrison Burroughs, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
St. John's hit Branchville with a seven-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Yellow Jackets lost 10-4 to the Islanders.
Brayden Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Orangeburg Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Branchville, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Orangeburg Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Branchville in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
