Football Recap: Hillsboro Starts Season with Victory Against Western Brown

Hillsboro gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 34-22 victory over the Western Brown Broncos. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 42-39 loss the last time these two teams met.

Tre Captain was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Hillsboro also got a significant boost from Mason Dumpert, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 111 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will host Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Brown, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Simon Kenton at 7:00 p.m.
