Volleyball Recap: Cholla Takes a Loss

Cholla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Douglas Bulldogs, falling 3-0. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-6, 25-11.

Janessa Sanchez was a one-woman wrecking crew For Douglas. as she had 18 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Sanchez has posted since September 2nd.

Cholla's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Douglas, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Cholla didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Sahuarita on the 1st. As for Douglas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Nogales on the 3rd.
