Baseball Game Preview: Montrose Red Hawks vs. Durango Demons

For the second straight game, Montrose will face off against Durango. The Red Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Demons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Montrose is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Montrose lost 14-7 to Durango on Friday.

For Durango's part, they got a massive performance out of Landin Padilla, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Padilla a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan White, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Durango has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Montrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.
