After losing to DeKalb the last time they met, Columbia City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Barons on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 17-25, 25-16, 25-16.

Liz Blackburn paced Columbia City's offense, picking up 20 kills. Blackburn got some help from Sophia Van Buskirk and her 33 assists. Sydney Wilkinson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Columbia City's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for DeKalb, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Columbia City has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against East Noble on the 2nd. As for DeKalb, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bellmont on the 2nd.
