Baseball Recap: Lowell Gets the Win

While Lowell didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Allendale Falcons on Monday, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Arrows have posted since May 17, 2024.

Lowell got a great performance from Caden Witten as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Witten has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Blake Sitzer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last ten matches. Mason Brown was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Lowell's victory bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for Allendale, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Lowell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair will be back at it again later today.
