Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand Terrace). They never let the San Gorgonio Spartans get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Titans with their most commanding win of the season.

The result came thanks to Lawrence Bonilla's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Grand Terrace is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Grand Terrace let Jesse Medina and Ray Roybal run wild. Medina went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Roybal scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Grand Terrace is 5-1 when Roybal posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Vasili Kazaltzes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Grand Terrace now has a winning record of 8-7. As for San Gorgonio, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Grand Terrace will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Kaiser at 3:45 p.m. As for San Gorgonio, they will head out to square off against Eisenhower at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
