Recap: Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers vs. John Paul II Catholic Saints

The Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a serious blow against John Paul II Catholic on Thursday, falling 76-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eastern Christian HomeSchool has scored all season.

Eastern Christian HomeSchool's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Becca Sottile, who scored 14 points, and Kaylee Ange who scored 13 points. The match was Ange's 14th in a row with at least ten points.

Eastern Christian HomeSchool's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-2. As for John Paul II Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern Christian HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Bern Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on January 5th. New Bern Christian Academy is on a five-game streak of home wins, Eastern Christian HomeSchool a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. John Paul II Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wayne Country Day on January 5th.
