Basketball Recap: Parkersburg Catholic Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Preston Randolph and Leonardo Deangelo

Parkersburg Catholic lost against Ravenswood back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders took a 58-42 bruising from the Ravenswood Red Devils. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Parkersburg Catholic had strong showings from Leonardo DeAngelo, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 14 points and three steals, and Preston Randolph, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 15 points and five boards. That was a full 35.7% of Parkersburg Catholic's points, marking the third time in a row Randolph has posted more than a third of the team's points. Landon Edwards was another key player, putting up three points.

Parkersburg Catholic's record now sits at 5-14. As for Ravenswood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkersburg Catholic will challenge Ritchie County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ritchie County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Parkersburg Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ravenswood, they will square off against St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Ravenswood is facing St. Marys at the right time seeing as St. Marys is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
