Softball Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short

Stratford extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 2-6 in the process. They came up short against the Antioch Bears, falling 21-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-0 last Wednesday.

As for Antioch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6. Considering they have won ten matchups by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Antioch's part, the team relied heavily on Gabby Kendricks, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhianna Williams, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Coming up, Stratford will venture away from home to face off against Whites Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Antioch, they will welcome Hunters Lane at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
