Volleyball Recap: Second Baptist Takes a Loss

Second Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 2nd.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-8, 25-21.

Leading Lutheran South Academy to victory were Eli Wittman and Charlie Marsico. Wittman had seven digs and four aces, while Marsico had six digs and one assist. That's the most aces Wittman has posted since back in September.

Second Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Lutheran South Academy, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 27-6.

Looking ahead, Second Baptist will square off against Logos Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lutheran South Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bay Area Christian on the 22nd.
