Volleyball Recap: Port Clinton Redskins vs. Vermilion Sailors
After flying high against Waite on Tuesday, Port Clinton came back down to earth. The Redskins lost 3-0 to the Vermilion Sailors on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the Redskins' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-8, 25-19.
Ella Carmon paced Port Clinton's offense, picking up nine kills. Carmon got some help from Evalee Cross and her eight assists.
Vermilion was led to victory by Haley Stepp and Elyse Myntti. Stepp had 15 digs, while Myntti had four aces and three digs. With that strong performance, Myntti is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game. Elizabeth Okasinski also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
