Stillwater is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Choctaw, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Stillwater was ranked tenth). The Pioneers walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Yellowjackets on Thursday.
Satank Taptto and Jaedan Adams were among the main playmakers for Stillwater as the former rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry and the latter rushed for 150 yards.

Meanwhile, Putnam City got themselves on the board against Grant on Thursday, but Grant never followed suit. They blew past the Generals 56-0. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won five contests by 42 points or more so far this season.
Putnam City had a senior duo take command as Rodgerick Sloan gained 174 total yards and two touchdowns and Schuylar Turnbull threw for 155 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes. Sloan got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 53 yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Putnam City proved: they limited Grant to a paltry 0.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Shaun Brown for the heroic effort on defense: he. Putnam City didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.6.
Putnam City's defense didn't let Ja'Mere Martin, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Grant's side was Brown, who made nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Stillwater's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Putnam City, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-1.
