Basketball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the William Byrd Terriers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 60-55 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for William Byrd, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Staunton River the next time they take the court. Franklin County will host Staunton River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while William Byrd will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
