Volleyball Recap: Tulare Western Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Tulare Western suffered their biggest loss since October 21, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears, falling 3-0. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-18.

Jordyn Walker paced Tulare Western's offense, picking up seven kills. Walker got some help from Belinda Sanchez and her 13 assists. Finally, Emely Aldaz and Taryn Drummonds kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Tulare Western has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Sierra Pacific, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Tulare Western will head out to take on Golden West at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, Sierra Pacific and Lemoore will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on September 3.
