Heartland III recap November 5, 2013
Southern Columbia Area extended the longest winning streak in Heartland III this week by beating Warrior Run, 47-13. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Tigers.
South Williamsport took down Montgomery 69-32 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Ricky Klingerman threw for 266 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Klingerman put up the best numbers in passing as Bloomsburg defeated Central Columbia. Klingerman's favorite target this week was Evan Ball, who caught 8 passes for 91 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Panthers' Klingerman and Colby Klingerman have proven to be a lethal combination. Klingerman has thrown for 1,676 yards this season, while Klingerman has 61 catches for 717 yards. Dakota Nixon from Muncy leads the league in rushing with 547 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Bloomsburg takes on Southern Columbia Area. Mike Kogut's team's offense has racked up 284 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Tigers have allowed only 120 on the year.
An important game coming up in Heartland III this week will be when Southern Columbia Area takes on the Panthers. At the moment, the Tigers are in first, while Bloomsburg is in fourth.
The Panthers and the Bluejays played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Panthers eventually emerging with a 29-26 victory. Klingerman ran for 31 yards during the win.
