Volleyball Recap: Fenton Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Fenton dropped to 2-4 on Wednesday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Mt. Pleasant Oilers by a score of 2-1. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oilers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

As for Mt. Pleasant, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-6 Gull Lake and 2-4 Fenton.

Mt. Pleasant can attribute much of their success to Kharman Loya, who had 15 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Loya has posted since back in November of 2024.

Fenton has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Gull Lake on the 27th. As for Mt. Pleasant, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against DeWitt on the 27th.
