Baseball Recap: Sun Valley Vanguards vs. Bishop Shanahan Eagles

After flying high against Interboro on Saturday, Sun Valley came back down to earth. The Vanguards came up short against the Bishop Shanahan Eagles on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The Vanguards haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Sun Valley got a good showing from Austin Miazza, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest earned runs Miazza has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Sun Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Comisiak, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for Bishop Shanahan, they will challenge Episcopal Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
