With a playoff win on the line, Halifax Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 62-49 victory over the Neuse Christian Academy Lions. The Vikings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Landon Peoples was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Oliver Anderson was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Halifax Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Halifax Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Halifax Academy will take on Lee Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Halifax Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Neuse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
