Soccer Recap: Burlingame Gets the Win

Burlingame kept a clean sheet against Sequoia on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sequoia Ravens, sneaking past 1-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Burlingame's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-2 and their overall record up to 3-7-2. As for Sequoia, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8-1.

Burlingame and Sequoia could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Burlingame (ranked 827th) will meet Aragon (ranked 264th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Sequoia will challenge Carlmont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 434 places (782 vs. 348).
