            Baseball Preview: Derry Trojans vs. Forest Hills Rangers        
        
		
        
        
            The Derry Trojans will square off against the Forest Hills Rangers at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  matchup.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Derry and Knoch had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Trojans fell just short of the Knights by a score of  6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Trojans have suffered  since March 22nd.
 Jayden Struble was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  pitched 4.1 innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off only  two  hits.
 On the hitting side, Derry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mason Fridley, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Meanwhile,  Forest Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Central by a score of  7-6.
  Xander Richardson put in work no matter where he played. He  pitched 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Those  zero  hits allowed gave  him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
 Derry's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Forest Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
