Softball Recap: Skyridge Comes Up Short

Skyridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 9-6 to the Wasatch Wasps. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wasps apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Awtumn Lorenzo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Ford, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Skyridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Wasatch, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-16.

Looking ahead, Skyridge will square off against Mountain Crest at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wasatch, they will face off against Salem Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wasps' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Skyhawks have averaged an impressive 12.5 runs per game this season.
