Glenbrook North extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 17-13 in the process. They never let the Glenbrook South Titans get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-5 on Monday.

As for Glenbrook South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-18. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs.

For Glenbrook South's part, Blake Hoffer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest earned runs Hoffer has allowed over his last three matchups.

Glenbrook North will have a chance to go back-to-back against Glenbrook South: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
