Football Game Preview: Chesapeake Panthers vs. South Point Pointers

The Chesapeake Panthers will face off against the South Point Pointers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses dating back to last season for Chesapeake and three for South Point.

Chesapeake's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Portsmouth on Friday. They were outmatched by the Trojans and fell 49-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Panthers haven't been shut out since back in August.

Meanwhile, South Point lost to Fairland at home by a 35-21 margin on Friday.

Chesapeake's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for South Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Chesapeake strolled past South Point when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 41-26. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Pointers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
