Basketball Recap: Sylvan Hills Takes a Loss

Sylvan Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Vilonia Eagles, falling 66-36. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Eagles are ranked 23rd).

Sylvan Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Vilonia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylvan Hills has already played their next matchup (against Parkview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vilonia will head out to square off against Mount St. Mary Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vilonia is facing Mount St. Mary Academy at the right time seeing as Mount St. Mary Academy is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
