            Softball Recap: Benson Bobcats vs. Salome Frogs        
        
		
        
        
            Benson was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Salome  on Saturday. The Benson Bobcats never let the Salome Frogs get on the board and left with  a   16-0  win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their one-run performance the  game before.
 Mandy Watson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Watson was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  RBI (three).
 In other batting news,  Sadie Webb was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Karris Taylor, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-1.
The  victory  got Benson back to even at 2-2. As for Salome, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Coming up, Benson will take on Moon Valley in a tournament  on Saturday. Moon Valley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16  runs per game on average), something Benson will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Salome, they will venture away from home to  take on Anthem Prep  at 3:00  p.m.  on March 17th.
