Soccer Game Preview: Eastern Randolph vs. Providence Grove

Eastern Randolph is 0-10 against Providence Grove since March of 2018 but things could change on Monday. Eastern Randolph will host Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Eastern Randolph put up the most points they have all season on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Faith Christian 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for Eastern Randolph as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Providence Grove had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Storm get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Considering Providence Grove have won eight matches by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Southern Guilford from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Taryn Waugh led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6-2. As for Providence Grove, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Eastern Randolph might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Providence Grove when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Eastern Randolph avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
