Soccer Game Preview: Bossier vs. Evangel Christian Academy

The Bossier Bearkats will venture away from home to face off against the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Evangel Christian Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bossier, who comes in off a win.

Bossier's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Calvary Baptist Academy. Given the Bearkats' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 75th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Evangel Christian Academy fell victim to Captain Shreve and their airtight defense back in December of 2024. They came up short against the Gators, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Gators: they've now lost four in a row.

Bossier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those eight contests. As for Evangel Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10-1.

Bossier beat Evangel Christian Academy 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bossier since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
